Emotional, eclectic, many-faceted, female-fronted Alternative/Progressive Rock from Leipzig, Germany.

Indeed, there exists a vast number of bands playing Alternative Rock.
But the five ambitious members of crwth from Leipzig, Germany, make their exclusive blend of Rock somewhat special, mixing Alternative with Progressive, adding a touch of oriental music in the one moment and evoking a stadium-rock earworm in another.
The music of crwth is emotional, eclectic and many-faceted This is shown not only on their second album REFLECTIONS – a soundtrack of various styles of music.

crwth's songs are as individual as the musical play of their members: Martin's drums are complex, Christoph's bass guitar comes driving and playful. Björn's guitar builds swirling walls of sound, Holger's guitar thrives strong, insistent lines into the ear; his violin nestles against the nerve cords. Cahérine's voice whistles and shouts and plays with the emotions that are given by the instruments. The dark emotions described in Cathérine's lyrics are met by the band's joy of playing and passion that create an undeniable authenticity between melancholy and euphoria.

After releasing their debut album TIME WASTED IS TIME LOST in 2010, their EP “. . . Coinciding With Hope” in 2011 and their single “The New Thing” in 2013, in the year of their tenth anniversary, in 2014, REFLECTIONS has seen the light of day. The sound of crwth is real and direct, which makes them recreate the emotional tensions of their record live on stage.
