The band, which was founded in 2012 and based in Leipzig, pitches its sound where post-punk meets indie-pop. With its rainy indie music which dares to be shrouded in melancholy, characterized by whirling, melodic lyrics, the music is able to get into your subconscious and become your partner for long, sleepless nights. Lizard Pool are a classic three-piece band consisting of drums, guitar and bass. Their first EP, released some time ago, aroused considerable interest, and now the debut album, “She Took The Colours” was released in April 2014. The sound, clearly influenced by one of the original underground bands, Die Art, is like the ghost of rebellion to the past, but at the same time displays flashes of the potential found in the new Leipzig music scene.
